Biological Traits and Phytosanitary Resilience

With a vegetation period of 70–80 days, 'Fokor' is classified as an early-maturing variety. This rapid growth cycle allows the crop to utilize early spring soil moisture efficiently, effectively escaping the mid-summer drought periods that often compromise yield and grain quality.

• Pathogen Resistance: The variety features genetically programmed resistance to primary pathogens, specifically root rot and ascochyta blight. This reduces the dependency on chemical fungicides and ensures stand density.
• Pest Tolerance: A standout technical feature is its innate resistance to the pea weevil (Bruchus pisorum). This trait is essential for maintaining post-harvest quality and minimizing losses during long-term storage.

Production and Agronomic Application

The 'Fokor' variety is specifically bred for grain production. It exhibits medium plant height, which contributes to excellent resistance against lodging, thereby optimizing mechanical harvesting efficiency.
