Luchana

The multi-flowered clover variety 'Luchana' is distinguished by high resistance to low temperatures, lodging, and brown rust, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine. This variety is recommended for sowing in mixtures with meadow clover, which contributes to obtaining high-quality forage mass for agriculture and feed production.

Luchana is used for producing green feed, hay, and silage. The yield of green mass reaches 8.4 t/ha, and the seed yield ranges from 0.8 to 1.1 t/ha. The leafiness of plants in the first cut is 45–50%, and in subsequent cuts increases to 60–70%, ensuring high productivity and quality of the forage base.

The forage mass of this variety is characterized by an optimal protein-carbohydrate ratio of 1:1.5. In dry matter, it contains 15–18% protein, 25–30% water-soluble carbohydrates, and 20–22% fiber. Digestibility of the forage mass reaches 75–80%, ensuring high nutritional value and effective feeding of agricultural animals.
