Darnel ARELIO

Aesthetics and Resilience from Deutsche Saatveredelung

"Arelio" is a premium breeding achievement from the German giant Deutsche Saatveredelung, challenging conventional standards for decorative grasses. While many fenugreek-type varieties demand intensive maintenance and constant watering, this variety displays remarkable autonomy, positioning it as a top choice for low-maintenance landscaping.

Key Advantages

• Early Maturity as a Design Tool: With a vegetation period of 70–90 days, Arelio provides rapid coverage with a rich green hue. It is the perfect solution for sites where an immediate visual impact is required.
• Compact Growth: Standing at 30–50 cm, this plant minimizes the need for frequent mowing, keeping the landscape looking neat without excessive labor.
• German Breeding Excellence: The originator, including Dieter Stelling, focused on genetic stability, ensuring uniform germination and predictable performance even under variable climate conditions.

Who is this for?

Arelio is the ideal choice for busy homeowners, landscaping professionals, and municipal services seeking a balance between aesthetics and effort. This is a "hands-off" lawn option: it requires minimal technical intervention while maintaining a lush green color throughout the active season. The only recommendation is to account for its early-maturing nature: when planning, keep in mind that the decorative peak is reached quickly. Therefore, it is best to integrate this variety into designs alongside perennials that can fill the space once its active cycle concludes.
