Darnel Vesuvius

Genetic Resilience and Aesthetics

"Vesuvius" is a selection product from the German DSV (Deutsche Saatveredelung) school, engineered to produce a dense and aesthetically flawless turf. The core of the cultivar is a biological growth mechanism that minimizes voids, which is critical for maintaining high-density decorative lawns.

Technical Specifications

• Category: Ryegrass (Lolium).
• Origin: Germany (Euro Grass Breeding KG).
• Biological Asset: Stable genetics from DSV, ensuring predictable growth patterns.
• Operational Status: Decorative type with low maintenance requirements.

The primary advantage of this hybrid is its adaptability to minimal maintenance. Euro Grass Breeding KG has integrated stress-resistance traits into the Vesuvius genotype, allowing the lawn to maintain deep color and structural integrity even under limited irrigation or irregular fertilization schedules. Unlike specialized sports mixtures, this cultivar is optimized for long-term decorative performance without the need for intensive mowing.

Utilizing this variety in grass seed mixtures guarantees uniform emergence and rapid achievement of target ground coverage density. The root system effectively retains moisture in the upper soil horizon, reducing erosion risks and facilitating the formation of a dense, traffic-resistant sod.
