Darnel Calibra

Reliability and Phytosanitary Resilience

The perennial ryegrass 'Calibra' from the Danish breeder DLF is a strategic choice for producers prioritizing pasture longevity and forage quality. In modern intensive agriculture, where stress on forage crops is increasing, 'Calibra' stands out due to its superior resistance to rust, a pathogen that frequently compromises both yield and nutritional density in grass stands.

Key Agronomic Strengths

• Rust Resistance: Exceptional genetic defense against rust fungi, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications and protecting forage safety.
• Low Management Threshold: With medium maintenance requirements, it is a highly practical choice for producers seeking predictable performance without complex agrotechnical interventions.
• Proven Genetics: Developed through the collaborative expertise of DLF, Cebeco Zaden, and InnoSeeds, ensuring high uniformity and reliable growth cycles.

As a perennial variety, 'Calibra' forms a dense, resilient sod that withstands seasonal fluctuations. Its primary competitive edge is its stability; unlike many high-yield varieties that become prone to disease under stress, 'Calibra' maintains its health and vigor, ensuring that the return on investment in the seed is realized over several productive years.

Who is this variety for?

The 'Calibra' variety is optimized for professional forage operations and commercial grazing systems. It is the ideal solution for farmers looking for a high-performance crop that combines durability with effective natural defense mechanisms. If your operation demands consistency, resistance to common leaf diseases, and ease of management, 'Calibra' provides the robust foundation needed for sustainable feed production.
