Darnel Dovbushanka

Practical cultivation experience: focusing on low maintenance

Choosing 'Dovbushanka' means opting for minimal agronomic intervention. As an operator, you will value this fenugreek variety for its predictability: the crop does not require complex fertilization schedules or specific conditions to maintain its decorative appearance. With a height of 50–70 cm, this variety is suitable both for landscaping and for establishing a dense green cover without the risk of lodging.

Operation and maintenance

• Maintenance: The variety is extremely responsive to minimal labor input. The owner's primary task is timely weed control during the early stages; afterwards, the plant independently forms a quality phytocenosis.
• Decorative quality: The rich green color of the fruit persists throughout the entire vegetation period, eliminating the need for frequent application of color stimulants.
• Adaptability: The originator (Kolomyia Research Station of the IFIA&P NAAS) has adapted this variety to the Ukrainian climate, meaning 'Dovbushanka' demonstrates stable vitality without expensive plant protection products.

If your goal is to enhance the aesthetic appeal of a site while keeping monthly operational costs low, this variety serves as a reliable tool. It does not require constant monitoring and recovers easily after adverse weather conditions.
