The mix includes popular varieties Red Baron, Gleedstow (Snowball), and Sturon, which are distinguished by their delicate taste and attractive appearance. These varieties are ideal for preparing fresh salads, adding a rich flavor and aesthetic appeal to dishes.
This onion is characterized by an early maturity period - from 65 to 90 days, which allows for obtaining vitamin products in a short time. The bulbs have a white color, round shape, and a mass of about 40-50 grams, and their taste can be characterized as semi-bitter with a slight piquancy. The onion leaves are delicate, juicy, and green, they long maintain freshness and do not become tough, which makes them especially valuable for fresh consumption and canning. Sowing is recommended to be carried out with an interval of 10-15 days to ensure continuous harvesting.
Salad onion is versatile in application: it is excellent for fresh consumption, as well as for adding to soups, main courses, and canning. Due to its soft taste and lack of bitterness, it does not stain other ingredients in dishes, making it an indispensable component in cooking. For storage, it is recommended to maintain a temperature of +1 to +5 degrees and humidity 85-90%, which allows keeping the onion fresh for 1-3 months. Moreover, this onion is rich in B group vitamins, as well as vitamins C and E, which contributes to strengthening health and boosting immunity.
