Polanowska

Polanowska onion is one of the most popular white varieties thanks to its outstanding qualities and awards, such as "Golden Medal of Polagra 2005" and "Agro Polska 2008". This variety is characterized by large bulbs, diameter over 7 cm, with dense and tough skin, as well as juicy flesh resistant to mechanical damage. Due to its refined taste, the onion can be consumed immediately after harvest, as well as used as a base for green onions. Polanowska exhibits high resistance to fungal diseases, ensured by a strong waxy coating on the skin. This allows the onion to be stored for a long time without loss of quality. The variety is late-maturing and intended for spring sowing. Harvesting is recommended from August to October, when bulbs reach optimal maturity and ripen evenly. Polanowska is suitable both for direct consumption and culinary use, thanks to its juicy and tender flavor. Its resistance to diseases and mechanical damage makes it convenient for storage and transportation, which is especially important for commercial cultivation and sales.
