GULDEN

The Gulden onion variety is an early-maturing type that is characterized by high yield and a rapid maturation period. From seedling emergence to harvest readiness for the entire plant takes about 60 days, and only 40 days for multi-year culture. The plant is tall, forming a single false stem, which facilitates cultivation and harvest collection.

The leaves of the Gulden variety are upright, about 40 cm long and 1.5 cm in diameter, have a green color with a bluish tint and are covered with a medium-intensity waxy coating. The average mass of one plant is 65 grams, of which 55 grams is leaves. The taste of the leaves is semi-sharp, making them an excellent choice for use fresh, for example, in salads and other dishes.

The yield of the variety reaches 2.7 kg per square meter, which is a high figure for green crops. Gulden onion is resistant to downy mildew, which increases its reliability during cultivation. Due to its characteristics and taste qualities, this variety is popular among professional gardeners and green lovers.
