Typically, 3 to 6 bulbs form in one clump.

The "Lira" variety is valued for its mild and slightly sweet taste, which is more intense than that of common bulb onions, although some descriptions note a spicy flavor. Thanks to good winter hardiness, this onion withstands cold periods well and ensures a stable yield. The bulb yield reaches 15-16.4 tons per hectare, while green leaf yield can reach up to 28 tons per hectare.
