Lizzy onion is an American-type hybrid with a vegetative period of about 110 days, making it mid-season. It is intended for cultivation in central and northern regions, confirming its adaptability to various climatic conditions. The onion has a round shape and an attractive yellow-brown dense skin, which provides a good appearance and high market appeal.

A feature of the Lizzy variety is its high dry matter content, reaching 11.8–12%, which contributes to excellent taste qualities and long-term storage. The leafy apparatus is covered with a waxy coating, which increases the plant's resistance to leaf diseases compared to other hybrids. Additionally, the onion is resistant to bolting, which is important for maintaining quality and extending the storage period of the product.

Lizzy is suitable for both fresh market and processing, thanks to its dense structure and high yield. The bulb weight varies from 140 to 200 grams, and the number of dense scales reaches seven, ensuring the strength and durability of the fruits. The recommended sowing rate is approximately 1.1 million seeds per hectare. The hybrid is produced in the Netherlands and Italy, guaranteeing high-quality seed material.
