The bulbs are dense and are well stored for 10-12 months, which allows using them for a long time after harvesting.
The green leaves of the Garant onion are thin, tender and maintain excellent appearance without yellowing of the tips throughout the vegetation period. From one plant, you can get more than 200 grams of quality quill, which makes this variety attractive for obtaining greens. The onion is distinguished by speed: from planting to bulb ripening takes only 50-70 days, which allows obtaining early harvest.
The planting of the Garant onion is possible both in spring and autumn. For planting, medium-sized bulbs with a diameter of about 3 cm are recommended. The optimal planting scheme is 30 bulbs per 1 m² in dense planting or strip with a distance between rows of about 20 cm and between strips of about 70 cm. Care for the plant includes weeding, loosening and watering during the dry period. Harvest is carried out in late July - mid-August. The Garant onion is suitable for growing on various types of soils and is excellent for use in salads and other dishes.
