Onion LEDOKOL

Premium Quality and Extended Storage

The «Ledokol» onion variety is a strategic asset for growers aiming for the fresh market. It bridges the gap between early-maturing varieties and long-term storage capabilities, offering a solution that is both productive and economically efficient.

Field Performance and Market Logistics

• Optimized Production Cycle: With a maturity period of up to 90 days, the crop fits perfectly into regions with shorter growing seasons, allowing for timely harvest before autumn weather variability.
• Storage Efficiency: The key advantage of «Ledokol» is its shelf life, which reaches 9–10 months. This feature allows producers to bypass the seasonal glut immediately after harvest and market their produce during the peak price window in late winter and spring.
• Marketable Presentation: Designed for manual harvesting, the bulbs feature a robust dark-bronze outer skin that protects the crisp, white flesh underneath. Its uniform, rounded shape is highly favored by retailers for its ease of packing and consistent aesthetic appeal.

By choosing this variety, farmers can manage their inventory with greater flexibility. Whether supplying supermarkets or the restaurant industry, the combination of a high-quality salad profile and exceptional durability makes «Ledokol» a reliable tool for consistent seasonal profit. Its resistance to storage rot and physical damage during handling ensures high pack-out rates for the end consumer.
