The bulbs have an oval or rhombic shape, weighing from 90 to 140 grams, with an attractive yellow-brown outer skin color, sometimes with a bronze tint. The inner scales are juicy and white. The taste of the onion is semi-sharp and piquant, making it universal for home cooking and industrial cultivation. The variety is characterized by high stable yield, reaching up to 310 centners per hectare, and high dry matter content – about 15.6%. ShTUR BS 20 is resistant to bolting and various diseases, which ensures reliability during cultivation. It adapts well to different soil types and is suitable for planting both in autumn and early spring. The bulbs form a small neck of medium thickness, which contributes to their long-term storage – up to eight months, as well as good transportability. The crop maturity before harvesting is about 75%, reaching 100% after curing. For optimal cultivation, it is recommended to maintain planting density with a distance between plants of about 10 cm and between rows – 20 cm. Spring planting depth is 3-5 cm, while autumn planting is 6-10 cm, which helps prevent freezing.
