Onion BRONISLAV

Technical Profile and Morphology

The 'Bronislav' chive variety is a perennial crop designed for fresh herb production in the salad segment. Bred by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing (authors Zharkova S. V., Malyhina O. V.), this variety focuses on vegetative growth stability in temperate climates.

Agronomics and Growth Cycle

A key feature of 'Bronislav' is its rapid maturity, reaching technical ripeness within 90 days from the onset of leaf growth. This speed allows for an optimized production conveyor. Due to the specific structure of the chives and the density of the clump, manual harvesting is the only viable method. Mechanical harvesting is impractical here due to the high risk of damaging the delicate leaf structure.

Practical Utility

• Salad Focus: The leaves are characterized by mild pungency and tender texture, which is critical for the fresh market.
• Perennial Stability: The plant exhibits high regenerative capacity, ensuring repeat harvests on the same site for several seasons.
• Harvest Efficiency: Manual harvesting allows for immediate field-level calibration, reducing waste during post-harvest packaging.

Recommended for intensive cultivation in both home gardens and small-scale farms, where high marketability and the precision of manual labor are prioritized.
