Bridger

Bridger is a medium-maturing hybrid of winter bulb onion, developed by the Dutch company Bejo Zaden. The vegetation period is 270-280 days after emergence, allowing harvest in early June. The bulbs have a round shape and characteristic yellow color, with dry matter content reaching 7.2%, ensuring good quality and long-term storage. This hybrid is suitable for both fresh market and processing, making it versatile in use.

One of the key features of Bridger onion is its strong root system and compact leaf mass, which contribute to resistance against bolting and increase the overall plant vitality. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to diseases, particularly Fusarium (Foc) and spotting (Pt), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss and simplifying crop care. Thanks to these qualities, Bridger adapts well to various climatic conditions and growing regions.

The Bridger hybrid is grown by direct sowing of seeds into prepared soil. Seeds are packaged in 250,000 units and intended for winter cultivation in open ground. High yield, stable bulb quality, and ease of agronomy make Bridger an attractive choice for farmers focused on producing high-quality onion for fresh consumption and industrial processing.
