SIRIUS is a mid-season oat variety with a vegetation period of 90-100 days, characterized by high yield and excellent grain quality. The grain is white, of an intermediate type, well-filled, with a 1000-grain mass of 36-40 grams and a 24-26% awniness. Protein content in the grain ranges from 12.4-12.8%, meeting the requirements for grain-purpose varieties. The plant stem reaches a height of 100-112 cm, has medium thickness, and differs in strength, ensuring resistance to lodging.
The variety has high resistance to major diseases, drought, and lodging, as well as low susceptibility to Swedish fly. These biological features make SIRIUS a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The potential yield of the variety reaches 70 centners per hectare, confirmed by practical results, such as a yield of 69 c/ha on a variety plot in the Chernihiv region.
Due to its characteristics, the SIRIUS variety is suitable for grain purposes and can be effectively used in agricultural production. Its resistance to adverse factors and high grain quality make this oat attractive to farmers seeking a stable and high-quality harvest.
