Description Premier
PREMIER is a spring oat (Avena sativa L.) variety characterized by medium maturity and medium plant height. The plant is semi-erect with a two-sided semi-erect panicle and drooping spikelets. Oat grains vary from medium to large size, with a weight of 1000 grains ranging from 32 to 41 grams and a bulk density of 390-470 g/l. The variety is resistant to lodging and drought, ensuring stable yields that reach up to 53.8 c/ha in some regions. Protein content in the grain varies from 11.9% to 14.7%, making it valuable for fodder and food purposes.

Cleaned PREMIER oat consists of whole natural grain with inedible hull removed, making it ideal for preparing homemade oat flakes, nutritious oat porridge, oat flour, oat milk, and kissel. Due to its structure, oat passes easily through roller mills and cooks well, providing a tender and creamy texture when cooked or milled.

This product is rich in slowly digestible carbohydrates, plant protein, dietary fibers, and B vitamins. It also contains important minerals—magnesium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, selenium—as well as beta-glucans, which contribute to strengthening the cardiovascular system, improving digestion, normalizing metabolism, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and supporting the nervous system and immunity. Additionally, oat is valued for its ability to improve soil quality when grown.
