Spring oat variety DZHIGIT is a new mid-season variety developed by breeders of the Federal Altai Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnology. This variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Amur, Kemerovo, and Novosibirsk regions, as well as the Zabaikalsky and Khabarovsk krais. DZHIGIT is distinguished by its versatility and high adaptability to climatic conditions, making it attractive for agricultural production in the aforementioned regions.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to drought, lodging, and a number of diseases, which ensures crop stability even under unfavorable conditions. Maximum grain yield reached 81.6 centners per hectare, and green mass yield, converted to dry matter, up to 137.6 centners per hectare. These figures are confirmed by multi-year trials on variety plots of the regional branch of the State Variety Commission, indicating the high productivity and reliability of the variety.
DZHIGIT is suitable for growing both for grain and green mass, which expands its application possibilities in agriculture. Thanks to its agronomic qualities and resistance to unfavorable factors, this oat variety can become an effective solution for farmers seeking to increase yield and product quality in various climatic zones.
