Oat Amar

A robust choice for intensive farming

The «Amar» oat variety, developed by the Institute of Agriculture of the Carpathian Region (NAAS), was created for farmers seeking predictable results in variable climate conditions. Its standout feature is high adaptability, which is essential for achieving yields of 60 centners per hectare and above.

Versatility: From animal feed to human consumption

Unlike niche varieties, «Amar» performs effectively across three key sectors:

• Food Industry: High-quality grain suitable for milling and processing into flakes and cereal products.
• Feed: An excellent balance of nutrients makes this oat a valuable, high-energy component for livestock rations.
• Industrial Processing: The variety is noted for its consistent output quality during deep processing.

Strengths and Management Factors

The primary advantage of «Amar» is its high yield potential (60+ q/ha). It is an optimal choice for producers using intensive tillage practices and precision fertilization. The variety is highly responsive to the growing environment, allowing it to reach its full genetic potential when provided with proper inputs.

It is important to note that, like many high-performance Ukrainian varieties, «Amar» requires strict adherence to planting windows and professional disease management. It is designed for managers who prioritize agronomic discipline and precision technology.

Is this variety for you?

If your operation is aimed at producing high-quality commercial grain and you are prepared to invest in consistent care, «Amar» will justify the effort. It fits perfectly into the crop rotations of mixed-use farms, addressing both the need for top-tier animal feed and profitable commercial grain sales.
