Melon Winter

The Winter melon variety belongs to late-maturing varieties with a long vegetation period. The fruits have an oval shape and a yellow-green color with a characteristic coarse continuous netting on the surface. The mass of one fruit varies from 1.3 to 2.5 kg. The flesh is light green, juicy and tender, possessing a pleasant dessert taste, which makes this variety particularly attractive to lovers of sweet and aromatic fruits.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and powdery mildew, which contributes to a stable harvest with proper care. Sowing seeds is recommended when the soil temperature reaches 16 °C, and potatoes, cabbage, and legumes are suitable as predecessors. When using irrigation, the yield can reach 338 centners per hectare, indicating the high productivity of the variety.

The Winter melon bushes are powerful and sprawling, which requires sufficient space for growth. The fruits ripen well after harvesting and are capable of retaining their high taste qualities for 3.5 months, allowing their use for a long time after collection.
