DSM 06 is a mid-season melon hybrid intended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. The period from mass germination to the first harvest is about 80 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. The leaf blade is of medium size, medium-deeper cut with weakly expressed serration of the edge. Fruits have a rounded shape and bright yellow color with very low density of white dots and small white ridges, with a smooth fruit surface, without a net. Average fruit weight is about 1.6 kg, maximum up to 3.0 kg. Seeds are of medium size, cream-yellow color and shape resembling a pine nut. The flesh is orange, thick, juicy and crunchy in texture, which gives the fruit special appeal and high tasting rating - 5 points.
This hybrid is distinguished by high commercial yield reaching 620 c/ha, making it profitable for commercial cultivation. Fruits have good transportability and resistance to damage, ensuring preservation during transport and storage. The plant prefers sunny places and nutritious, slightly acidic soils with good drainage, does not tolerate water stagnation. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use mineral fertilizers, which contributes to the formation of a high-quality and abundant harvest.
DSM 06 is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected conditions, requiring sufficient lighting and fertile, permeable soil.
