Description KYUMARA
Kyumara F1 melon is a mid-early first-generation hybrid from the Cucurbitaceae family, belonging to the Piele-de-Sapo variety type. The fruits have an elliptical shape and dark green rind, with a mass ranging from 1.8 to 2 kg. The plant features medium trellising, robust growth, and a well-developed leaf apparatus, which contributes to high yield and fruit uniformity.

Kyumara melon flesh is dense, greenish-white in color, with a very aromatic and sweet taste. Sugar content in the fruits ranges from 12-16 Brix, ensuring a rich and pleasant flavor. Thanks to its structure and composition, the melon has a long post-harvest storage period, making it convenient for storage and transportation.

The variety is highly resistant to diseases, including resistance to powdery mildew (Px 1,2,5) and fusarium wilt (Fom: 0,1). This allows Kyumara to be grown both in open ground and with the use of mulch, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
