Melon CHUDO-YUDO

The 'Chudo-Yudo' melon variety is an early-maturing trailing variety with a maturation period of 65 to 75 days. The fruits are round, weighing from 1.5 to 2.5 kg, and have a light brown-yellow or dark yellow color with a dense netting or smooth surface. The melon flesh is thick, tender, light cream-colored, possibly with a slightly greenish tint, characterized by high juiciness and sweetness reminiscent of watermelon. The aroma is harmonious with a long pleasant aftertaste, making this variety particularly attractive for direct consumption.

The 'Chudo-Yudo' variety is distinguished by high yield and resistance to diseases and pests, which significantly facilitates its cultivation. Plants can be grown either by direct sowing of seeds into the ground or through seedlings. For seedlings, sowing is carried out at the end of April, and into the ground in mid-May, followed by transplanting at an age of 30-35 days. When grown in open ground, it is recommended to pinch plants above the 4th-5th leaf, leaving 2-3 side shoots and no more than 4-5 fruits, as well as placing moisture-resistant material under the fruits to prevent their spoilage from contact with the soil. When grown under film coverings, a single stem is formed and the plant is tied to a trellis.
