Temryuchanka melon is a mid-season variety with a maturation period of 70 to 95 days, characterized by high yield and resistance to extreme environmental conditions. The plant is vining, well-leafed, with medium-sized green leaves and weak leaf division. This variety is heat-tolerant and stress-resistant, allowing it to be successfully grown in various climatic conditions.
Temryuchanka fruits have an oval-round or slightly elongated shape with a thick, dense netted skin ranging from light lemon-yellow to dark yellow. Fruit mass varies from 1.4 to 5 kg, with most reaching a weight of 1.5–2.5 kg. The flesh is light cream-colored, thick, juicy, and tender, with a high sugar concentration, giving it a very sweet and aromatic taste. The seed cavity is small; seeds are large, oval, and ivory-colored.
The variety has a high yield, reaching from 15 to 35 tons per hectare depending on growing conditions. Fruits are characterized by near-complete marketability, absence of sunburn, and good transportability, retaining their qualities for 25-30 days after harvest. Due to its taste qualities and resistance to adverse factors, Temryuchanka melon is an excellent choice for cultivation both on an industrial scale and in private households.
