The zucchini variety «Golden Key» is an early-maturing and high-yielding variety with a vegetative period from seedling emergence to the onset of fruiting of 46-49 days. The plants have a compact bushy form and are characterized by resistance to short-term frosts, making them a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The fruits are cylindrical in shape, reaching a mass of 1 to 1.5 kg and a length of about 20 cm, possess a golden-orange hue and a dense, juicy flesh with a tender and crispy texture.
The zucchini flesh is distinguished by its orange-yellow color and thick inner walls, which ensure excellent taste qualities and versatility in cooking. The fruits are suitable for all types of culinary processing, including pickling and canning, as well as they are well-preserved and easily transported, making the variety convenient for storage and sale. High yield reaches 8-10 kg per square meter, allowing to obtain a significant volume of produce from small areas.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds in acidic, fertile, and light soil with a shallow groundwater level. Sowing is carried out in late May – early June after the end of frosts. During cultivation, the plants require regular feeding, hilling, loosening, and watering, which contributes to the formation of healthy and productive bushes. Seeds of the variety undergo pre-sowing treatment to improve germination and protect against diseases, which facilitates care and increases the chances of a good harvest.
