The 'Sova' blueberry is a medium-sized bush with dense foliage and straight, light-green shoots. The leaves are medium-sized, leathery, and smooth, with slightly concave blades. The medium-sized flowers have a pale coloration, short calyx lobes that curve upwards. The pedicel is medium, thin, and green.
The berries of the variety reach a mass of about 1 gram, have a drop-shaped form, and a deep blue solid color. The skin is of medium thickness, smooth with a slight waxy coating, and separates from the fruit satisfactorily. The pulp is dark purple, tender, juicy, with a tart-sweet taste, a barely noticeable bitterness, and a weak pleasant aroma. The berries contain a complex of biologically active substances: vitamin C, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid, as well as macro- and microelements.
'Sova' is a self-sterile variety with early flowering (April 26–May 9) and medium ripening (June 8-14). The fruits do not fall off, and their transportability during harvesting is satisfactory. The yield is about 105 centners/hectare or 3.2 kg per bush. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, heat resistance, and drought resistance, as well as resistance to diseases and pests. Thanks to these characteristics, 'Sova' is suitable for a wide range of applications – both in gardening and in commercial berry cultivation.
