Daylily Song of the Horse

Aesthetics and Resilience in Landscape Design

The 'Pisnia Khorsa' (Song of Khors) variety is a selection masterpiece from the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden, recognized as a benchmark for resilience in the Ukrainian climate. Landscape designers choose this daylily for creating high-contrast compositions that require a balance between massive blooms and a compact bush structure. Reaching a height of 60–70 cm, the plant fits perfectly into the middle tier of flower beds without blocking views or requiring additional support.

Practical Applications for Your Garden

• Edging and Borders: Dense planting along garden paths creates a vibrant, eye-catching line. The 15 cm diameter flower effectively breaks the monotony of standard greenery.
• Contrast Flower Beds: With its distinctive white and red bicolor pattern, this variety serves as a strong focal point. It pairs exceptionally well with conifers and ornamental grasses.
• Low Maintenance: The variety is well-adapted to local soil and climatic conditions, reducing the need for intensive labor. It is the ideal choice for those seeking high-impact aesthetics without constant, complex upkeep.

When planting, account for the large flower diameter. To allow the plant to reach its full potential, a spacing of 40–50 cm between bushes is recommended. This ensures proper air circulation, which is critical for root health and mid-season profuse flowering.
