Lettuce Pearl Gem

Pearl Gem (Pearl Gem) salad is an early leaf lettuce variety of Batavia type, developed by the Dutch breeding company Enza Zaden. This variety is characterized by high productivity and resistance to diseases such as leaf edge burn, false powdery mildew, and bolting. The plant forms a loose, round half-head of deep green color with wavy, entire leaves that have a crisp, juicy texture and a mild, slightly sweet flavor without bitterness. Due to these qualities, Pearl Gem lettuce is widely used in fresh dishes and is marketed fresh. Pearl Gem is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses and under plastic covers, allowing for year-round cultivation. The vegetation period is up to 60 days, after which harvesting can begin. The variety is low-maintenance in agronomy and quickly accumulates green mass even under adverse conditions. The yield potential reaches 2.5-2.7 kg per square meter, making it profitable for commercial cultivation in various regions. Pearl Gem lettuce seeds have high germination and are suitable for any region. The leaves form a dense, spherical rosette with a greenish tint and slightly coarse surface. Due to its stability, resistance to adverse factors, attractive appearance, and pleasant taste, this variety is an excellent choice for farmers and lovers of fresh vegetables.
