Lettuce Levistro RZ

Consistent performance in Lollo Bionda production

The choice of Levistro RZ by Rijk Zwaan for commercial farming is synonymous with harvest reliability. This Lollo Bionda variety is specifically engineered for professional operations where minimizing biological risks and maximizing marketability are top priorities.

Field-tested advantages for the grower

• Disease resistance: A core feature of Levistro RZ is its robust resistance to powdery mildew. This allows growers to streamline their crop protection schedule, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications and promoting a more sustainable production cycle.
• Pest protection: The variety exhibits high resistance to lettuce root aphid. This is a crucial trait, especially for indoor or hydroponic systems where root health is essential to maintaining yields and avoiding rapid crop loss.
• Visual appeal: The bright, light-green foliage is highly favored by retailers and consumers alike. The uniform head structure makes it an excellent candidate for fresh-cut processing and high-end retail packaging.

Levistro RZ excels in continuous cropping schedules. Its ability to maintain a consistent head weight and density translates into higher pack-out percentages and lower sorting costs. For producers looking to optimize their logistics and deliver top-quality produce to the market, this hybrid offers the perfect balance of resilience and aesthetic quality. It is a proven asset for those aiming for a high-yield, low-risk cultivation strategy.
