Hazera, a global leader in vegetable breeding, has engineered the 'Libby' variety to meet the demanding requirements of modern commercial lettuce growers. As a high-performance Lollo Rossa type, Libby has earned a reputation for combining striking aesthetic appeal with robust agronomical performance.

Key Features and Performance

The variety is best known for its deep, intensive red coloration, which holds up exceptionally well throughout the growing season. Beyond its visual impact, Libby offers a significant advantage in disease management: it is specifically bred for resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora), which effectively mitigates one of the most common threats to lettuce crops worldwide.

• Type: Lollo Rossa, producing a well-structured, uniform rosette.
