Lettuce EVRIDICA

Why Evridika is the standard for commercial lettuce

In the Lollo Rossa segment, producers often face a dilemma: high visual appeal versus disease resistance. The breeding expertise of the Gavrish company, represented by the Evridika variety, offers a balance critical for industrial farming. This leaf lettuce variety stands out among its peers for its intense, almost anthracite-red color, which persists even under suboptimal lighting conditions.

Reliability and Profitability Factors

The strongest argument for choosing Evridika is its tolerance to marginal leaf necrosis. For agronomists, this translates into a significant reduction in waste during pre-sale processing. In conveyor production systems, where every square meter counts, a stable yield of marketable produce is far more valuable than the theoretical yields of more "fussy" hybrids.

• Maturity: 45–50 days, allowing for up to 7–8 cycles per year in protected environments.
• Color Palette: The deep red pigment makes the rosette highly attractive for retail displays.
• Phytosanitary Control: High resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora) reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, aligning the product with eco-friendly standards.

Evridika is an optimal choice for farms focused on supermarket distribution, where visual quality is the "face" of the product. Thanks to its resistance to necrosis, you get a predictable output without the extra costs of micronutrient adjustments or extreme greenhouse climate management.
