Solos salad is a mid-season semi-heading lettuce type Lollo Rosso, developed by the Dutch breeding company Bejo Zaden. This variety features a robust and full rosette of small, crinkled, deep-red leaves with a green core. The leaves are large, glossy, very crisp and juicy, with a moderately sweet and tender flavor without bitterness, making Solos ideal for salad mixes and dish garnishes.
Solos is primarily grown outdoors during spring-summer and autumn periods, though it can also be grown in greenhouses using seedling cultivation. The maturation period is 40-45 days. The plant exhibits high productivity, stress resistance, and resistance to a wide range of diseases, including powdery mildew and leaf burn. Additionally, the variety is not prone to bolting, ensuring stable yields and high-quality produce.
Solos lettuce seeds are typically sown in seedling trays, promoting vigorous plant growth and optimal leaf rosette formation. Seed packaging is 5000 seeds per unit. Thanks to its unique breeding traits, including the "Triple Red" color range, Solos is suitable for cultivation across all regions of Ukraine and is in high demand in the fresh produce market.
