Bacchus (Bacchus) salad is a mid-early variety of Lollo Rossa type, developed by the Dutch company Hazera. This variety is characterized by its attractive dark red leaf color without a green center and forms a strong, uniform rosette of round shape, approximately 20x25 cm. The rosette weight varies from 400 to 600 grams, and the leaves have a slightly blistered structure with wavy edges and a crisp texture, making this salad particularly appealing for fresh consumption and industrial processing.
Bacchus salad demonstrates high adaptability to various soils and weather conditions, allowing it to be grown both outdoors from spring until mid-autumn and year-round in greenhouses. To achieve a high-quality yield, it is necessary to follow agronomic requirements: timely watering, fertilization, and soil loosening. The yield of this variety reaches approximately 3 kg per square meter, and technical maturity occurs 45-50 days after transplanting seedlings.
One of the key advantages of this variety is its complete resistance to downy mildew, as well as to lettuce aphid and root aphid, significantly reducing the need for chemical protection. Bacchus lettuce seeds are suitable for cultivation in various regions, including Ukraine, and are supplied in packages of 400-600 seeds, ensuring ease of sowing and planting planning.
