Lettuce Levistro

Levistro is an early semi-leaf lettuce variety of the Lollo Bionda type, developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. This variety is characterized by high yield and an attractive head appearance, reaching up to 500 grams. The leaves have a rich green color and slightly curly structure, giving the plant decorative appeal and freshness. Due to its genetic resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, root rot, and green leaf aphid, Levistro is a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions.

Levistro is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouse conditions, including hydroponic systems. The vegetative period is approximately 40 days, allowing for cultivation during spring-summer seasons, as well as year-round in greenhouses. The plant does not tend to bolt and does not elongate the stem after full maturity, ensuring prolonged crispness and color intensity of leaves after harvest.

This variety is adaptable to different soil types and well-suited to the climatic features of the cultivation zone. Levistro is recommended for both agricultural companies and home gardens, as seeds are available in various packaging options — from hobby packs to professional sizes. High disease resistance, ease of cultivation, and excellent taste qualities make Levistro an ideal choice for lovers of traditional lettuce varieties.
