Description Landau
Landau salad is an early semi-heading type Lollo Bionda variety developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. This variety is characterized by rapid growth and is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected environments, including polytunnels. From the emergence of the first seedlings to technical maturity, it takes 35-40 days, allowing for all-season cultivation. The plant forms a compact rosette with finely cut, dense, glossy dark green leaves, weighing 400-500 grams.

Landau salad is resistant to diseases such as false powdery mildew, necrosis, and aphids, and is not prone to flowering. Due to these qualities and its attractive appearance, it is highly valued in the fresh produce market. The leaves have a tender, crisp texture and excellent taste, making it popular for fresh consumption and commercial use.

In culinary applications, Landau salad is widely used for preparing salads, garnishing dishes and appetizers, and is also added to smoothies. Seeds of this variety are packaged at 35-40 seeds per gram, making them convenient for both home and commercial cultivation.
