Lettuce Lento

Reliable choice for premium lettuce production

The «Lento» lettuce variety by PMP «Tyras» is designed for professional growers focusing on high-quality, butterhead-type lettuce. This variety stands out for its well-structured, dark green heads and tender leaves, which are highly valued in the fresh produce market for their consistency and aesthetic appeal.

Agronomic performance and disease resistance

The primary advantage of «Lento» is its robust resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis). By selecting a variety with such strong natural defense, growers can significantly reduce their reliance on fungicide applications, leading to more sustainable farming practices and lower input costs per hectare.

• Plant type: Butterhead lettuce that forms dense, medium-sized heads.
• Harvest cycle: Mid-season maturity allows for efficient scheduling and crop rotation.
• Quality traits: The deep green color and uniform shape ensure excellent shelf life and marketability after harvest.

Practically speaking, «Lento» is highly adaptable to various soil and climatic conditions across Ukraine. It is a reliable tool for farmers who prioritize consistency, disease control, and a solid yield of market-standard lettuce heads throughout the growing season.
