Vegetable pea variety Zehalova 112 is a mid-season sugar variety with a maturation period of about 50-60 days from germination to pod harvest. Plants reach a height of up to 2 meters, with long stems measuring 90–120 cm. Pods are large, fleshy, up to 15 cm long and 1.5 to 2.5 cm wide, containing medium-sized green marrow seeds. This variety is recommended for consuming immature pods fresh, and is also suitable for preparing soups and side dishes. Green pea yield reaches up to 1.2 kg per square meter.
Sowing of Zehalova 112 peas is recommended at the end of April – May on the sunny side of the plot, planting seeds at a depth of 4-6 cm. The optimal planting scheme is 15x30 cm, which ensures good plant development and high yield. The pod harvesting period lasts about 15 days with a 3-4 day interval between harvests, allowing for fresh fruits throughout the fruiting period.
The variety is characterized by synchronized maturation and resistance to certain diseases, making it attractive for both novice and experienced agronomists. Proper care and agronomic measures contribute to increased plant immunity and improved yield indicators, ensuring a stable and quality harvest.
