Tevion lettuce is a new iceberg-type variety that forms raised, round heads of medium to large size. The leaves are dark green and have good plasticity, while the head structure is uniform and attractive, with a short and compact stem. This variety is characterized by even head filling and high productivity, making it appealing for fresh produce and processing markets.
Tevion exhibits high resistance to various adverse factors. It is resistant to leaf edge burn, internal necrosis, and bolting, significantly improving crop quality and storability. Additionally, the variety shows resistance to several diseases, including Bl:16-27,29,31,32EU and Nr:0, ensuring reliable cultivation under diverse conditions.
Tevion is recommended for cultivation in spring and autumn, especially in southern regions on open ground. The optimal planting time is late spring to early summer, enabling the production of high-quality and consistent yields. Due to its characteristics and adaptation to Ukraine’s climatic conditions, this variety is an excellent choice for farmers and lettuce producers.
