Lettuce KOPAKABANA

Aesthetics on the Plate: Why Choose Kopakabana

The 'Kopakabana' lettuce from the Italian breeding house Isi Sementi S.P.A. is not just another variety for industrial production. It is primarily aimed at the premium segment and professional catering, where the visual appearance of a dish is as crucial as its taste. Its key distinction from mass-market varieties lies in its decorative plant type and intense red color, which remains vibrant even under intense sunlight.

Strengths and Key Features

• Visual Appeal: The intense red color makes it an ideal component for mixed salads, adding a bright color accent without the need to plant additional crops.
• Italian Breeding: Isi Sementi S.P.A. is known for its rigorous quality standards, ensuring high germination rates and uniformity in every batch.
• Resilience: Like many decorative lettuce lines, this variety demonstrates good stress resistance to temperature fluctuations, which is critical for open-field cultivation.

Who is this variety for?

'Kopakabana' is optimal for farmers supplying restaurants and boutique markets that cater to customers looking for high-quality, specialty produce. The main challenge when working with this variety is maintaining precise irrigation, as decorative varieties are demanding regarding soil moisture. In return, you receive a product that stands out on the shelf among pale greens and is guaranteed to capture the end consumer's attention.
