Lettuce BURGER

Technical Profile of Romaine Lettuce 'Burger'

The 'Burger' variety, developed by the Ooo Global Sids breeding center (originators Dmitry Gladkov and Anna Semenova), is a classic Romaine type engineered for consistent performance. The plant's architecture is specifically optimized for upright growth, which improves light penetration and airflow through the canopy, reducing the pressure of foliage-related pathogens.

Agronomic and Structural Features

• Leaf Morphology: The deep green pigmentation indicates high chlorophyll density, which correlates with robust photosynthetic efficiency under varying light conditions.
• Developmental Cycle: Classified with mid-term maturity, this variety allows for reliable crop scheduling in commercial agricultural systems.
• Yield Uniformity: The medium-sized head provides excellent weight-to-waste ratios during harvesting and processing.

The engineering philosophy behind 'Burger' by Global Sids focuses on stability. For the grower, this translates to minimal variance between heads, ensuring that fields reach maturity simultaneously. The density of the heart and the structural integrity of the outer leaves ensure that the produce maintains its turgor pressure and marketability during transport and post-harvest storage. 'Burger' is a calculated choice for intensive production environments that demand high-quality, uniform output.
