Expertise

Expertise lettuce is a medium-maturing leaf lettuce variety of the Frise type, developed by the Dutch seed company Rijk Zwaan. This variety features a vigorous plant with a well-developed root system, forming a dense rosette of deeply lobed leaves with a rich green color. The leaves are crisp, juicy, and succulent, weighing up to 750 grams and reaching a diameter of up to 22 cm, making it attractive for fresh market sales and suitable for culinary use in preparing fresh dishes. Expertise is rich in vitamin C and beneficial microelements, enhancing its nutritional value.

The variety exhibits high resistance to diseases, including necrosis, mosaic virus, and false powdery mildew, and is not prone to bolting. Expertise tolerates high temperatures well, and the rosette does not break down under hot conditions, allowing cultivation in both open and protected soil, as well as in hydroponic systems. The plant quickly gains biomass and positively responds to regular watering and mineral fertilizer application.
