The EXPERT lettuce variety is a mid-maturing leaf lettuce of the Salanova frezise type, intended for cultivation in open and protected ground, including greenhouses, cold frames, and hydroponic systems. The vegetative period is 45–55 days, ensuring rapid formation of leaf mass. Plants form a dense rosette with dark green, deeply dissected, juicy and crispy leaves that have a pleasant taste. Leaves reach a height of up to 20 cm and a diameter of up to 22 cm, while the leaf mass can reach 750 g. The variety's yield reaches up to 7 kg per square meter, making it a highly productive choice for cultivation.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to adverse conditions, including heat, at which the rosette does not collapse, as well as to diseases such as downy mildew, necrosis, and bolting. Additionally, the lettuce is not prone to damage from lettuce psyllid, which reduces the need for intensive plant protection. Thanks to these qualities, the EXPERT variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions and technologies, including hydroponics.
The lettuce is recommended for consumption fresh and for use in preparing salad mixes, where its bright dark green color and crispy texture create an attractive contrast with other varieties. High resistance to bolting and the ability to quickly accumulate mass make the variety convenient and profitable for cultivation both in personal subsidiary holdings and for commercial purposes.
