Lettuce Elita

Stability and Marketability: Why Professionals Choose «Elita»

In the mid-season lettuce segment, the «Elita» variety by Syngenta occupies the niche of a "reliable standard." This is not a variety that requires greenhouse conditions or daily stress management. Swiss breeders have focused on endurance and predictability, which is critical for farmers targeting retail chains.

Agronomic Advantages

The main feature of this crop is the formation of a neat, dense rosette of medium weight. Unlike many varieties prone to looseness during temperature fluctuations, «Elita» maintains its market form even under moderate stress. This significantly simplifies logistics: you get less waste during transport and a more presentable appearance on store shelves.

• Maturation Stability: The mid-season cycle allows for precise harvest planning, which streamlines collaboration with buyers.
• Uniformity: The variety shows excellent head consistency — all plants in the field develop synchronously, minimizing labor costs during harvest.
• Versatility: It is suitable for cultivation in various soil types and easily adapts to both open-field and protected cultivation conditions.

Who is this variety for?

«Elita» is the optimal choice for farms working for the fresh market. If your business model involves supplying supermarkets where leaf cleanliness, head density, and lack of damage are critical, this lettuce will become your "workhorse." This is not an experimental variety, but a tool for planned profit generation without unnecessary risks. Its main strength is the predictability of the result from planting to shipment.
