ALTOZANAS is a new type of iceberg head lettuce variety, introduced in 2024. It is characterized by its large size and is designed for summer cultivation. The plant reaches a height of about 26 cm and a diameter of 38 cm, with yellowish-green leaf coloration, giving it an attractive appearance.
The head of the Altozanas variety is round, dense, and of medium size, making it convenient for various culinary uses. The lettuce belongs to mid-late varieties, allowing for harvest at optimal times. It has high resistance to fusarium and can withstand high temperatures, significantly expanding its cultivation possibilities in open ground.
The average yield of the variety is 4.6 kg per square meter, making it profitable for commercial cultivation. Thanks to its characteristics and resistance, Altozanas is suitable for the summer season and provides a stable and quality harvest.
