Lettuce RUBADGIO

Efficiency and Aesthetics in the Multileaf Segment

Rubadjo by Syngenta is a specialized solution designed for producers focusing on the fresh-cut and premium retail markets. Its Multileaf growth habit allows for an efficient harvest: with a single knife stroke, the head separates into numerous individual, uniform leaf segments. This is a critical advantage for commercial farms supplying fast-food chains or producing ready-to-eat salad mixes.

Agronomic Resilience: Securing the Yield

Intensive lettuce production often faces pressure from pathogens, especially in high-density greenhouse environments. Rubadjo mitigates these risks through advanced genetic resistance developed by Syngenta:

• Disease Control: High resistance to Downy Mildew (Bremia lactucae) reduces the dependency on frequent fungicide applications.
• Pest Management: Resistance to lettuce root aphid ensures field uniformity and protects the crop against sudden losses.
• Viral Defense: Resistance to Lettuce Mosaic Virus (LMV) minimizes culling rates, ensuring a high-quality, uniform crop even under challenging pressures.

Operational Scenarios

The intense red color of the leaves makes Rubadjo a premium choice for visually appealing salad blends. For commercial growers, the hybrid offers excellent transportability, maintaining leaf turgor and shelf appeal during distribution. From an operational standpoint, the plant's structural uniformity makes it ideal for mechanized harvesting, significantly reducing labor costs. By choosing Rubadjo, farms ensure a reliable, high-yield production cycle that meets both the visual expectations of the consumer and the efficiency requirements of the modern agricultural supply chain.
