Lettuce Tacitus

Tacitus lettuce variety belongs to the Romain type and is characterized by medium-sized heads with shiny dark-green leaves. The plant is compact, with strong growth and neat rosettes, ensuring ease of cultivation and harvest. Heads have a well-covered structure, and side leaves protect the head from adverse external factors, helping to maintain freshness and product quality.

This variety exhibits high heat tolerance and can successfully develop under high temperatures, making it especially suitable for summer cultivation. Tacitus is resistant to bolting, downy mildew, lettuce aphids, and leaf burn, significantly reducing harvest loss risks. The plant is sun-loving and requires regular watering, especially during the seedling stage, though mature plants show good drought tolerance and prolonged freshness of stems.

Tacitus can be grown both in open ground and using hydroponics, offering flexibility in agronomy. The lettuce is intended for individual sale, packaging, and use in salad mixes. The average weight of one head ranges from 400 to 600 grams, and uniform fruit ripening allows for efficient harvest planning. The variety is produced in the Netherlands, guaranteeing high seed quality and consistent characteristics.
