Bromus inermis Leyss. is a grass from the Bromus group intended for haymaking and pasture use. It is characterized by medium ripening and high winter hardiness, allowing it to maintain productivity even under harsh climatic conditions.
The yield of dry matter averages 9–10 tons per hectare, reaching up to 16 tons with irrigation. Seeds produce approximately 300–400 kilograms per hectare, making the culture attractive for feed production. Bromus is resistant to helminthosporiosis and has good to medium drought tolerance.
It grows optimally on floodplain chernozem soils, where it achieves high weight stability. Due to its characteristics, it is widely used in agriculture to ensure animal feed resources.
