Eggplant MODAR

Massive fruits with Spanish character

The «Modar» eggplant from the breeders at Semillas Fito is a choice for those who prioritize both high yields and professional market presentation. The key strength of this hybrid lies in its ability to produce substantial fruits, weighing between 500 and 800 grams. Despite their significant size, the fruits maintain a perfect pear shape, making them highly recognizable in the market and ideal for post-harvest handling.

Cultivation versatility and growth dynamics

This hybrid is highly adaptable to both open-field and greenhouse conditions. With a maturity period of 80–90 days from seedling transplanting, it allows farmers to effectively plan a steady harvest cycle. Due to the expert breeding by Semillas Fito, «Modar» displays consistent fruit setting even under fluctuating temperatures, which is essential for growers in regions with unpredictable climates.

Benefits and harvest potential

• Transportability: Despite their impressive size, the fruits feature dense flesh, ensuring they remain resistant to deformation during transport and storage.
• Visual Appeal: The deep dark-purple color of the skin, combined with a characteristic glossy sheen, ensures high demand at the point of sale.
• Culinary Qualities: A well-balanced flavor profile without excessive bitterness makes this variety sought after for both home cooking and commercial food processing.

If you are looking for a crop that combines robust growth potential with a high yield per plant, «Modar» is a reliable asset for your agribusiness. It is perfectly suited for professional farming operations focusing on the premium fresh vegetable market.
