Hop Chinook

Genetic Resistance and Chemical Profile

The 'Chinook' variety from 'Tnh-agro Service' is a selection product engineered for the demands of craft brewing. Its primary technical advantage is its robust genetic resistance to Verticillium wilt—a pathogen that significantly threatens yield stability in temperate climates. This resilience allows for a reduced fungicide application, ensuring cleaner raw material and sustainable field management.

Biochemical Constants and Applications

The core of this hop variety lies in its distinct acid and aromatic signature:

• Alpha Acid (8–12%): Provides a clean, firm bitterness essential for balancing robust malt profiles.
• Aromatic Matrix: A complex blend of pine, herbal, and citrus notes driven by a high concentration of myrcene and humulene.

These metrics make 'Chinook' a versatile tool in the brewery. In IPAs, it delivers an aggressive aromatic profile, while in Porters and Stouts, it adds the necessary depth and earthy undertones required for complex beer styles.

Agronomic Value

For growers and producers working with 'Tnh-agro Service', this variety offers high predictability in harvest outcomes. When paired with proper trellis management and irrigation, the variety demonstrates consistent accumulation of alpha acids. Adapted to the Ukrainian climate, 'Chinook' ensures that brewers receive consistent quality with minimal variation in biochemical performance between batches.
